Sink and source co-limitation in the response of stored non-structural carbohydrates to an intense but short drought

Resumen

Understanding the role of stored non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) in trees has been a long-term goal in tree physiology research. A study published in this issue strengthens the possible role of NSC storage as key to mitigate drought effects.
